​Given the latest increase in COVID-19 cases and in direct consultation with the Marion County Health Department the Marion County Board of Education has made the decision to move to “Full Remote Learning” starting on Thursday, December 10th through Wednesday, December 23rd.
 
We will return to our Blended Learning Model on Monday, January 4th.
 
Meal pick up will be available at your child’s school from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 5 days on the following dates:
 
Wed. Dec. 9th
Wed. Dec. 16th
Tue. Dec. 22nd
Wed. Jan. 6th
 
You can sign up by contacting your child’s school. Be safe and continue to wear your mask.

Summer Meals Distribution Sites

​This is a message is from Marion County Schools, Marion County Schools is excited to partner with the Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission to continue the summer feeding program.   Starting on Wednesday, June 3rd Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission will distribute meals, mid-day, from 11 designated sites throughout the county. Parents must register online at (marionboe.com) to pick up meals from one of these designated sites.
 
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon:
            East Marion Park – Police Reserve Parking Lot
            Montana Mines – Community Building
            5th Street Park
            Windmill Park
 
11:30 a.m.  - 12:30 p.m.
            Monongah Elementary School
            Barrackville School – Playground
 
12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
            Farmington Town Hall
            Mannington Hough Park

            Fairview Elementary
            Grant Town Community Building
            Rivesville School
 
Again, Parents are to please register their student for meals on or before May 20th indicating the number of meals needed and the site that they wish to receive their meals.
The current meal bus delivery service will remain the same for May 20th and 27th.  Any Questions please call 304-367-2106

School Messenger Notification - Meals - March 19

Marion County Schools will offer two meal delivery methods to serve our children for the remainder of the week.
 
Option A- Meals can be picked up from your child’s school from your child’s school from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
 
Option B- The delivery of meals will be delivered by our school bus drivers starting tomorrow Thursday, March19th between 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. at your child’s designated bus stop.
 
Next week – Meal delivery will start next week on Monday and Wednesday morning by our school bus drivers between 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Friday March 20th is in the school calendar as a Professional Learning Day.  With this in mind and due to schools still being closed, students are asked to complete Climate Control Day Packet Number five for March 23 and 24.  Each school has set up their specific lines of communication that will be utilized during the closure.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the school for assistance through these specific lines of communication.

School Messenger Notification – March 15th

Considering the recent Coronavirus Epidemic, Marion County Schools remain focused on student, faculty, staff, and community safety while providing the necessary resources to preserve student learning.

  1. On Monday March 16th the following staff will work a normal work schedule: All Central Employees, Principals, Assistant Principals, Counselors Social Workers, Nurses, LPN Aides, Secretaries, Custodians, Maintenance, Cooks, Mechanics, IT Staff, Aides, and Bus Drivers.
  2. Monday Tuesday, Wednesday (March 16th-18th) teachers are not required to report to their work site, but are asked to contact their students, be available by 10:00 a.m. through Live grades and work from home.  Teachers are to contact their building principal for work specific tasks. 
  3. Students are to complete Climate Control Packet Number 3 on Monday March 16th and Tuesday March 17th.  Parents are asked to check their students Live Grades account each day by 10:00 a.m. for classroom updates. 
  4. Meals will be provided to students at three sites one in each attendance area.  Students are encouraged to visit the site in their attendance area.  A lunch offering will start at 11:00 a.m. and cease at 12:30 p.m. at the following sites East Park Elementary, North Marion High School and West Fairmont Middle School.
