Good Morning, East Fairmont!
Tomorrow the BEES will wear orange for Abby McGowan. Abby has Pfeiffer Syndrome. She is having surgery tomorrow. To show support for Abby and her family we will be wearing orange and using the hashtag #OrangeforAbby. This event is sponsored by Interact.
Congratulations to all who participated in Marion County Math Field day! Our Team A placed 3rd in the county and our Team B placed 2nd. Please be sure to congratulate the following students as they will be representing Marion County at Regionals. Julian Conaway placed 1st for 9th grade. For grades 10-12, AJ Copenhaver placed 3rd, Alison Singleton placed 5th, and Sebastian Heston placed 10th.
Congratulations to the boys basketball team on their win on Saturday.
Congratulations to Shawn Carpenter, Landen Larnerd, Ally Straight, and Brayden Swecker for winning 1st place for WV in the LifeSmarts competition. They now qualify for National Competition.
Congratulations to the cheerleaders on their win this weekend in competition at Liberty. A big shout out to TJ Edge and Brenna Blauvelt on being selected as Outstanding Cheerleaders.
Governors Honors Academy applications are due to day to Ms. Pinn at noon.
Today is the last day to sign up for Spanish Honorary. To apply, you need to have completed 3 semesters of high school Spanish with an A or B average each semester. See Mrs. Amos in room 120 for details and an application.
Seniors: The deadline to apply for the FAFSA is tomorrow. For more information visit the Class of 2022 on google classroom, cfwv.com website, or see Ms. Pinn.
Juniors, be sure to vote on prom court through Google Classroom. Voting ends Thursday, March 3rd and prom court will be announced Friday, March 4th!
Any junior interested in running for Student C.ouncil to represent the student body next school year, please see Ms. Deane or Ms. Dobrzynski for necessary paperwork!
Anyone interested in joining Key Club needs to stop by Mrs. Merritt's room 201 to pick up an application.
Quiz Bowl practice will now be Monday after school in room 201. Anyone may attend.
Please be sure to sign the sign in sheet in the office when arriving late and the sign out sheet when leaving school early. These are located on Mrs. Golden's desk.
All students who took the ASVAB will be meeting with the test coordinator on Friday, March 11 from 12-1:30 to go over their test results and ask questions. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Copenhaver.
A Boys' State representative will be here on March 11 during homeroom to meet with all potential candidates in the LGI. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Copenhaver.
The SAT and PSAT exams will be given on March 23 in school.
Yearbooks are on sale for this year. Orders may be placed at jostens.com or bring to Ms. Gerau in room 107.
