Public Input Survey - 2021-2022 School Calendar: The Calendar Committee is asking for your input in the development of the Marion County 2021-2022 School Calendar. We will be accepting responses through February 9, 2021. Your responses will be shared with the committee and Marion County Board of Education. It is our goal to have an adopted calendar for 2021-2022 during March.

Second Semester Recovery Plan: As we move into the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year, please see the following information. Please understand that this information is subject to change along with guidance from the Governor’s Office, the West Virginian Department of Education, the Local Health Department and the Marion County Board of Education.
In-Person Instruction will begin on January 19, 2021 according to student’s cohort at individual schools and dependent on the WV DHHR Map for Marion County. The second semester will begin on January 21, 2021. |
Attention all Pre-k Parents: Marion County Pre-k is having a WV Universal Pre-K Program Review this year. The WV Universal Pre-K Program Review Online Parent Survey is designed for parents to give parental input regarding the pre-k program. Parents are asked to complete the survey for our WV Universal Pre-K Program Review this school year. The WV Pre-K Parent Survey is an online survey which is submitted directly to the WV Pre-K Program Review Team.

Note to Parents about Student Health Requirements:
Parents, a new policy instituted in 2018 now requires that, all students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year and any student entering the second, seventh, or twelfth grade are required to show proof of a dental examination and a health examination prior to entry into school on August 21st. In addition, students in the seventh and twelfth grade are also required to have the Tdap and Meningitis shots prior to entering school.
Please make an appointment with your child's doctor and dentist to ensure that your student has completed the necessary examinations and requirements. Documentation must be provided to your child's school prior to the start of school.
