Attention Polar Bears: If you are calling the school for a schedule change (seniors 8/7, juniors 8/8, sophomores & freshman 8/9) you must leave a message to be placed in the que for schedule change review. Calling multiple times without leaving a message just ties up phone lines and does not activate your request. If you choose to call, please leave a message for the counselor. A better choice is to email your request to: Alex Eddy, 9th & 10th grade counselor: alex.eddy@k12.wv.us Alisa Pelaez, 11th & 12th grade counselor: apelaez@k12.wv.us

We have been made aware of a social media hoax on FSHS through snap chat. The WV Fusion Center put out an alert to this sort of thing happening on social media sites and then being taken down immediately after posting. City PD and Sheriff Riffle are aware as well as their SROs. There will be increased patrols around the schools in the county last night and today. There is no credible threat to FSHS at this time. Kettering Fairmont HS in Dayton, OH is where the threat came from, not Fairmont Senior High School in Fairmont, WV
