Yesterday, the FSHS Robotics team showed their mettle. Since the last competition 3 weeks ago, the Angry Roombas redesigned and built a completely new robot from scratch. Termed “a tank” by more than a few opposing teams, their robot performed exceptionally well at the second VRC Qualifier held at NMHS today amid 27 other teams and earned a spot in the 4th Ranked Alliance. Our Polar Bears went all the way to the Finals and lost to North Marion’s alliance by 1 point, 86-87. Congratulations to the Huskies in a well played tournament. These Roombas got a taste of the WV State Championship last year and are hungry for another chance to prove themselves. They have one more competition at WVU next Saturday and hope to earn themselves a seat at the table. We are proud of your engineering and grit. Yes, Bears!

Attention Polar Bears: SAT prep tutoring will be held in the FSHS freshman building Sunday Feb. 26, Sunday March 5, and Sunday March 12 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Sign ups will be in Ms. Johnson & Mr. Yeager's classrooms. Priority is given to juniors 1st, then seniors. Only 2 sessions allowed per student.
