
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Parents, due to the volume of traffic in the morning, please remember to use the Baptist Church parking lot if you are walking your child in. You are not permitted to park at the Church of Christ or Methodist Church. Also, in an effort to keep the traffic at a minimum on Pike Street, students should be ready to exit the vehicle in the drop off line. Parents should not need to exit the vehicle. If your child needs assistance exiting the vehicle, please alert staff and we will be glad to help your child out of the vehicle. Beginning tomorrow, no parents will be permitted inside the fenced area of campus. Thank you for your cooperation.

This is a Bison Herd Alert: here will be signups for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls basketball on Tuesday August 9th from 4-5:30 and Thursday August 11th from 4-5:30. 3rd grade girls can signup to play 4th grade.
Signups will be held in the Barrackville K/Pre-K Annex building. The registration fee is $55.00 and $35.00 for siblings.
We hope to have a team for each grade level. If we are unable to obtain enough players and/or coaches, then players will be given the option to play on a combined team (with another school) or play a grade level above their current grade.
Refunds will be provided if the option available is not acceptable to the player.

Marion County Schools will be collecting non perishable items such as shampoo, soap, toiletries and canned food to be sent to help the flood victims in Kentucky. We hope to fill a Marion County School Bus! Collections will begin August 8th and continue through August 18th. The bus will be located at the Marion County Board of Education Central Office on Mary Lou Retton Drive.

This is a Bison Herd Alert for students attending Summer SOLE:
Summer SOLE begins on Tuesday, June 21st. Parent drop off will begin at 8:15am in the front loop of the school. If you still have questions regarding bus transportation, please call the school. Parent Pick-up will begin the front loop of the school at 2:15pm and bus departure begins at 2:30pm. The last day of Summer SOLE is July 13th.

ALSO, new state law requires that any student who has Emergency Medications ordered must have the medication administration form AND the medication available at school or the student may not attend school. Please ensure these are available and are given to the school nurse on the first day of school.

This is a Bison Herd Alert: Students entering 7th & 12th grades are required to have the Tdap & meningitis vaccines in order to return on the first day of school, or to participate in summer practices/activities. Students may not attend school without proper verification of these vaccines. Students entering PreK, Kindergarten, 2nd, 7th, and 12th grades are required to show proof of Health and Dental exams. Please send documents to your child’s school as soon as possible.

This is a Bison Herd Alert- Tuesday is going to be a great day in the 'ville! Field day for the elementary school, class tournament kick ball for the middle school, PTO bounce house and inflatable obstacle course and slide, plus PBIS reward day with a visit from the Ice cream truck! It's going to be a hot one, so please remember your sunscreen and bring your water bottles!! Students do not need any money for the ice cream truck, but PTO will have a concession if students would like to bring a few dollars. thank you!

This is a Bison Herd Alert: Middle School girls interested in Husky Pup Soccer- There will be a meeting Wednesday at 6:00 pm at the Monongah Townhall to discuss the upcoming season and to vote in a new board…Pres, VP, Treasurer, Secretary and also the new coach applicant. Details about sign ups and conditioning will be available as well. If you have an interest in becoming a board member, coach, or if your daughter attends the NM schools area and will be in grades 6-8 next school year 2022-2023) and would like to play soccer PLEASE ATTEND THIS MEETING!!

This is a Bison Herd Alert: The Builders Club will travel to PNC Park tomorrow. We will leave the school at 9am and return at around 5pm. Parents must be here to pick up students when we return. We will update the Facebook page when we depart Pittsburgh. Please remember that PNC park is a cashless facility. Students must have a Visa Gift Card to use at the concession or souvenir shop. Also, please remember that we will eat a bag lunch before we enter the park, so don't forget your lunch from home if you did not mark lunch from school. We suggest just bringing in a paper or plastic bag so you can just throw it away and not carry a lunch box around. Please have students only take what is necessary because our bags will be searched upon entry. It is very important to note the bag policy for PNC Park. Only bags that are 8"x5"x1" are permitted by spectators.

The 5th and 8th graders will also take the Science portion of the West Virginia Summative Assessment on Wednesday May 11th. Please avoid appointments, late arrivals and absences during this time. Students will be testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The 5th and 8th graders will also take the Science portion of the West Virginia Summative Assessment on Wednesday May 11th. Please avoid appointments, late arrivals and absences during this time. Also, there will be no school on Tuesday, May 10th and Monday May 30th.
