This is a Bison Herd Alert:MEMORANDUM
To: Parents, Guardians, and Approved Pick-Up Contacts
From: School Administration
Date: August 25, 2026
Subject: New Student Sign-In and Sign-Out Procedures
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure school environment, we are implementing new student sign-in and sign-out procedures in accordance with the new Safe Schools Act.
Effective immediately, any student who arrives late or is being picked up early must be signed in or out through the Main Office. Parents and guardians should no longer go directly to classrooms or other areas of the building for these purposes.
Identification Requirements
All parents, guardians, and approved individuals will be required to present a valid photo ID when signing a student in or out. IDs will be scanned into our school system, so please make sure you bring your identification with you whenever you come to school to pick up or sign in a student.
Approved Pick-Up Contacts
Please make sure your student’s Student Information Form is complete and up to date and that everyone who is authorized to pick up your child is listed.
Please remind all approved pick-up individuals that they must also bring a valid photo ID when picking up your child. School personnel are not permitted to release a student to anyone who is not listed as an approved contact or properly entered into WVEIS.
These procedures are being put in place to help ensure that we know who is entering and leaving our school and, most importantly, to help protect our students and staff.
We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we implement these new procedures. Thank you for helping us keep our students, staff, and school safe!

This is a Bison Herd Alert: Dear Parents and Guardians,
We appreciate your continued support in helping us maintain a focused and productive learning environment for all students.
At this time, we are updating our classroom expectations regarding personal items. Squishy toys, fidgets, and similar items will no longer be permitted in the classroom unless they are specifically required as part of a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), 504 plan or SAT.
While we understand that these items can be fun and, at times, helpful, we have found that they are increasingly becoming a distraction to both the student using them and those around them. Our goal is to minimize disruptions and maximize instructional time for all learners.
If your child has a documented need for a fidget or sensory tool as part of their IEP, 504 or SAT those supports will absolutely continue to be provided and honored.
We ask that you please help us by ensuring these items remain at home unless otherwise directed by the school.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership in supporting a positive learning environment for all students.
