This is a Bison Herd Alert: Parents we are asking for your cooperation to ensure the safety of our students at dismissal. Walkers are students who walk unaccompanied home. We are having an issue with students who are dismissed as walkers but are walking to parked cars in the church lots. This is creating a safety issue with students walking through cars that are waiting to be released in the parent pick up line. The church lots are designated as parent pick up areas. There should not be students walking to cars in this area. The upper Church of Christ lot is blocked off as well due to the amount of students we have walking home through that area. If this issue persists on Monday, we will return to our previous dismissal schedule and walkers will be dismissed after parent pick up. Our top priority is the safety of our students. Please refer to the arrival and dismissal procedures for more information. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

During the period of Sept. 6-16, 2022, MCS will be administering a survey to students, teachers, and families. The WE SUPPORT Survey is designed to inform schools and districts about expectations and perceptions the community has about student learning. The survey is structured around three

This is a Bison Herd Alert: Parents, due to the volume of traffic in the morning, please remember to use the Baptist Church parking lot if you are walking your child in. You are not permitted to park at the Church of Christ or Methodist Church. Also, in an effort to keep the traffic at a minimum on Pike Street, students should be ready to exit the vehicle in the drop off line. Parents should not need to exit the vehicle. If your child needs assistance exiting the vehicle, please alert staff and we will be glad to help your child out of the vehicle. Beginning tomorrow, no parents will be permitted inside the fenced area of campus. Thank you for your cooperation.
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Barrackville Back To School Open House will be Friday, August 19th from 2pm to 4pm. Welcome Back Bison Herd! We cannot wait to see you!
This is a Bison Herd Alert: here will be signups for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls basketball on Tuesday August 9th from 4-5:30 and Thursday August 11th from 4-5:30. 3rd grade girls can signup to play 4th grade.
Signups will be held in the Barrackville K/Pre-K Annex building. The registration fee is $55.00 and $35.00 for siblings.
We hope to have a team for each grade level. If we are unable to obtain enough players and/or coaches, then players will be given the option to play on a combined team (with another school) or play a grade level above their current grade.
Refunds will be provided if the option available is not acceptable to the player.
Marion County Schools will be collecting non perishable items such as shampoo, soap, toiletries and canned food to be sent to help the flood victims in Kentucky. We hope to fill a Marion County School Bus! Collections will begin August 8th and continue through August 18th. The bus will be located at the Marion County Board of Education Central Office on Mary Lou Retton Drive.
This is a Bison Herd Alert for students attending Summer SOLE:
Summer SOLE begins on Tuesday, June 21st. Parent drop off will begin at 8:15am in the front loop of the school. If you still have questions regarding bus transportation, please call the school. Parent Pick-up will begin the front loop of the school at 2:15pm and bus departure begins at 2:30pm. The last day of Summer SOLE is July 13th.
ALSO, new state law requires that any student who has Emergency Medications ordered must have the medication administration form AND the medication available at school or the student may not attend school. Please ensure these are available and are given to the school nurse on the first day of school.
