Families:
Schools across Marion County have announced the testing windows for grades 3-8 for the West Virginia Summative Assessment (WVGSA). These four-day testing windows are individually chosen by the schools, beginning May 1 through May 14, 2026. As a reminder, you can review your child's results for the WVGSA online in the View My Results site. For most students, the results of each test will be available 24 hours after completion of the Writing, English Language Arts, Math, or Science tests that your child took at his/her school. The site is available at West Virginia Assessment Portal.
Families received the access code a few times during the 2025-26 school year to view assessment results via their child's k-12 email. If you need this code again, your child's school will be distributing it again by May 4, 2026.
As we approach these days, and every day, please help us work together to achieve these test-taking tips:
-Get a good night's sleep.
-Drink plenty of water.
-Eat a breakfast high in protein.
-Arrive early or on time to school.
-Have a positive attitude.
Thank you for all you do to support your child daily so that they learn and grow together with us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Donna Heston
Superintendent
