This is a Bison Herd Alert from Ms. Bombard: Parents, This text is to inform you that a possible case of bed bugs was recently reported at Barrackville School. Please rest assured that the health and safety of our students and staff are our top priority and we are taking all the necessary precautions to address the situation. While bedbugs are not known to transmit disease, they can be a nuisance. To help prevent the spread, please check your student's belongings, backpacks, jackets, and other personal items upon their return from school. Signs of bed bugs may include small brown or reddish spots, tiny white eggs, or actual bugs. Bed Bugs are the size of an apple seed and may hide in seams, folds, and crevices or materials. The following steps are being taken at school: A thorough inspection and cleaning of the affected area, working with pest control professionals to ensure the issue is addressed, and continued monitoring will be in place for future occurrences. If you have any signs of bed bugs at home or need advice on how to inspect your home, please refer to the information that will be sent home today from local health authorities or contact the health department.
This is a Bison Herd Alert: The Scholastic book fair will be open tonight from 6-7:30 in the multipurpose room for families. Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 9, will be the final shopping day for students.
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Barrackville will dismiss early today due to flooding. Walkers will be dismissed at 10:30. Parent pickup will begin at 10:35. Bus students will be dismissed as their bus arrives. Thank you.

This is a Bison Herd Alert: Update for the Mason Dixon Girls Basketball Tournament. Mason Dixon Tournament girls tournament is at the annex gym on the campus of Monongah Middle. All spectators will be charged admission. Therefore, we have been advised that no discounts for free admission will be given to senior citizens and students. Adults are $6.00 and students are $2.00. This is a Bison Herd Alert: Due to maintenance on the surrounding streets, bus dismissal will be the front loop of the school for today (Wednesday, Feb 12th). Parent Pickup will be delayed until 3:20. Cars will be dismissed from the Bethesda Church lot beginning at 3:20. Thank you for your cooperation.
