Marion County Schools is sending a copy of the results of your child’s WV General Summative Assessment from 2021-22 home on Thursday, September 15, 2022. If your child was in grades 3-8 last year, he/she will receive a paper copy of WVGSA results at school on Thursday. The vocabulary terms for the day are “block,” “apple,” “line,” “wetland,” and “combinations of ten” at classrooms throughout Pleasant Valley Elementary today and oh the ways students are applying them in math notebooks, sketch notes, writing samples, and illustrations.





Pleasant Valley Elementary is out of this world in learning fun! Jarrod Petersavage of NASA visited students to talk to them about the Milky Way and all kinds of learning experiences in the Star Lab Planetarium.




English 12 at Fairmont Senior start the year with Mission Statement collage, based The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Students wrote essays based on the results of personality tests in order to get to know themselves better or argue about the use of personality tests.





Over 75 Marion County Schools special educators, principals, and related service providers gather tonight to learn the State’s new IEP platform.





Fairview Elementary celebrated grandparents today at Grandparent Breakfast, sponsored by PTO and Title I. The cafeteria was full of love and good food prepared by our cooks. Books were sent home with the grandparents to read aloud. It was another wonderful day in Fairview!





Over 50 families represented tonight at Blackshere Elementary for parent volunteer training, PTO, Title I, discussion about the WE Surveys, and the new family engagement partnership with WV Family Engagement Center.
