WVU Agriculture Extension Assistant Sierra Kniceley visited East Park Elementary to discuss animal nutrition to make the connection between reading and science units for the month. The students each made nutritional reindeer food to take home. The Marion County Humane Society visited and talked about their duties with helping animals and serving the community.

The Garden Classroom at Monongah Elementary finished a rotation today with a feast of vegetables and herbs grown from their garden as well as other prepared snacks: dehydrated pickles and pineapples, homemade fruit roll ups, salad, basil lemonade, and homemade dressing.

Kevin Egidi from Rivesville showcased the great strides his team is making with Tier 2 PBIS supports, while Holly Blatt, our district BCBA, provided a powerful demonstration of how Behavior Essentials Visualized can strengthen intervention planning for students.

Facilitated by East Fairmont High School Junior Trace Tucker, the conversation with Superintendent Dr. Heston ranged in topics from instruction, facilities, and student leadership from the students' perspective.

Marion County Schools Transportation Department's "Come Drive a Bus" recruitment event for Substitute Bus Operators was a success today.









As we strive to address the statewide shortage of Substitute Bus Operators, Marion County Schools will offer our fourth Come Drive A Bus on Saturday, December 6th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Fairmont Senior High School Freshman Building Parking Lot.

Congratulations to Monongah Elementary School's Math Field Day representatives and Science Fair winners. They advance to county-wide competition now to represent with Lion Pride.
