Thank you to the Marion County Public Library for “making a splash” at Monongah Elementary today as students learn about the importance of play intermixed with Summer SOLE programming in reading, writing, math.

Sign up for the Bob DeVaul Memorial Basketball Clinic and Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s on July 9, 9-1 at NMHS. Registration is open to any youth in K-5th grade. The camp is absolutely free and participants will be doing drills with legendary basketball players. If you don't sign up in advance, it will be a $20 fee at the gate to do the camp in the morning. All-star game with former WVU and Globetrotters playing to follow. Adults will be charged $5 to enter these events.

Explorers Among Us! Barrackville Summer SOLE is rocking it out of this world. They did a Space theme and lots of STEAM activities to integrate reaching, math and science.

Flipside is an after-school program
developed by Tygart Valley United Way
for middle school students in Marion and Taylor counties! Every day, students will receive a hot meal, homework help, opportunities for physical activity, as well as access to other artistic and scientific activities.
The Flipside AmeriCorps program allows you to get hands-on experience working with the program, which serving your country through AmeriCorps! The program also offers opportunities for full-time and part-time placements. Please help spread the word to anyone you think might be interested in serving with Flipside and AmeriCorps!

Today was a day for the birds! Students at Jayenne Summer SOLE built birdhouses by using their STEAM and engineering skills.



Another day of the Mountaineer Food Bank helping out over 300 North Marion families at a distribution where families received milk, fruit, and shelf stable foods.

The world is your stage! Theatre Camp at North Marion High School reaches students from Mannington Middle, Fairview Middle, Monongah Middle and North Marion. They will be performing a Mid Summer Nights Dream on Friday.





Sometimes you just have to sing and dance and perform! Fairmont State University’s Academy for the Arts engage with MCS students during the Summer SOLE program. 🎭🎨




Sky is the Limit! Nearly 90 MCS middle school students are exposed to aviation as part of Summer SOLE programming through a collaboration with Pierpont Community & Technical College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program.
