Congratulations to White Hall Elementary Author Payton Bolyard, who is a State winner in the 2024 Young Writers Contest for grade 1-2 level. She and her entry of "An Ocean Adventure," as well as her teacher, will be recognized May 3 in Charleston.

Fairview Elementary participated in a reading celebration. Third grade came to read to first grade students. Later, first grade students read to Pre-K students. The whole school listened to a Readers Theater put on by the third graders. Mrs. Garcia set up a story walk. First grade enjoyed walking through and reading! Mrs. Garcia also worked hard to put the annual read a thon together. The school raised enough to meet the cookie party goal so everyone enjoyed their cookies. She also presented each student who participated with some brave bucks and a bracelet. What a wonderful day celebrating reading at Fairview Elementary!

Big thank you to Fairmont Senior High School boys basketball team for coming to Watson’s 21st CCLC afterschool March madness.💙
