Back 2 School Bash, sponsored by Mt. Zion Missionary Church, today at Fairmont Hills was off the charts! There were school supplies, free haircuts, the Fairmont Fire Department and great barbecue. Their Academic Enrichment Afterschool Program begins Monday at Fairmont Hills.







Dunk-a-roo and back to school! Students threw a chance at dunking two of Marion County's principals, Blackshere's Principal Henline and Mannington Middle's Principal Dr. DeVaul, at Mannington Nazarene Church's 2ND ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH today.

When the Pre-K playground at East Fairmont High School needs some TLC before the students arrive, you call a swarm of Bees. Thank you to the football team for helping out. 💙🐝💛💙🏈






At the Barrackville Back To School Bash today there was a herd full of bisons searching for lockers, meeting teachers, stopping by food trucks and seeing old friends. Local churches distributed school supplies as well. Welcome back Monday, Bisons!

Efficient, hardworking, and an example of a P.O.W.E.R. team in Marion County Schools, the bus operators receive a review on chaining up a school bus and adjusting the mirror grids, hosted at North Marion High School today.






East Dale is abuzz as the highly anticipated classroom additions are coming together to greet students on the first day of the 2023-24 school year. Hard working teaching assistants, teachers, and the Maintenance Department do the final pushes to kick of this special year.











Besides being the face that greets each of our students and visitors daily, this team of hardworking Marion County Schools secretaries is so vital in each of our schools, in so many ways. They kick off a training session on a meal service program from WVDE today.



Thank you to WV State Trooper Celiphino for kicking off the morning session with Marion County Schools bus operators today. Your expertise and support of our students, families and staff is appreciated.



And into the evening tonight, Marion County Schools Healthy Grandfamilies team of support works together to plan grandfamilies dates for 2023-24. Keep bringing the P.O.W.E.R.!


Keep coloring our worlds! It's been a P.O.W.E.R.-packed day in Marion County Schools as the county's art teachers worked with Annie McFarland, Ph.D., ATR-BC, Assistant Professor | Art Therapy + Therapeutic Arts, Art Therapy Program Coordinator to learn strategies for classrooms.





Erin Day, Behavior Support Specialist through the West Virginia Behavior Mental Health Technical Assistance Center, working with Prek-1st grade teachers and ECCATS on Classroom Strategies with PBIS today.



Making bridges for Marion County Schools students, instructors of Marion County Technical Center spent the day visiting the facilities and programs of Pierpont Community Technical College in the area to broaden awareness and soar into our partnership.
