East Fairmont Pre-K went on a gingerbread man hunt throughout the school and had great hands on experiences setup in their classrooms today.





The magic of music at Christmas continues tonight with our talented students in MCS at the combined band concert of North Marion High School and Mannington Middle School and Monongah Middle School.




MCS observes Pearl Harbor Day today. WFMS’s Teresa Sestito’s students helped to lower the flag in honor of Pearl Harbor Day, a day for Pearl Harbor survivors and veterans including the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the attack on December 7, 1941.


The elves at East Fairmont High are buzzing with cheer! Mrs Ely's Forensics' Crime Scene holiday theme is a case of mischief. History teachers decorated their hallway with ugly Christmas sweaters, which were created by students integrating, art, history, and holiday cheer.

Thank you to West Fairmont Middle’s Polar Vortex, their a cappella student group which performed for the middle school principals at WFMS during a programmatic level meeting today.



STEAM Ahead with Parent Involvement: East Park parents volunteered to come and teach STEAM and coding to Mrs. Niessner’s first grade class today.





Lance Loya came to talk to students at East Park today about bullying and being a good teammate to Santa.


MCS is released to Code Green at this time. MC Sheriff Department and Homeland Security has been in contact with multiple state agencies and there is no credible threat related to these calls being received throughout the state.


MCS, in collaboration with MC Sheriff Dept and MC Homeland Security, is placing all schools under a precautionary Code Red at this time due to investigation of calls being received throughout the state.


As part of the job shadowing program at MCTC, MCS is part of the solution in giving students workplace skills and hoping to recruit future hires through experience with the Maintenance Department. Terry Brewer instructs Technical Center Work base Students on a construction site.
