The Board of Education honored the Young Leaders of the Marion County Chamber tonight and 10th grade leaders shared their experience in the year-long program that visits business, industry, and service groups throughout Marion County as they build leadership skills.

Special thanks to Dr. Mark Staples, Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and the Center of Hope Academic Enrichment Scholars, who led the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the board of education meeting this evening.

The County Schools Social Studies Fair Winners were honored tonight by Marion County Board of Education members. They represent the county in the Regional Social Studies Fair this Thursday at Glenville State University.

The school counselors of Marion County met today to get updates on current topics, including a book study opportunity, in collaboration with Communities of Shalom, Marion County's Prevention Coalition, on The Neuro Whereabouts Guide.
