It’s been a weekend to appreciate the outdoors and nature! East Dale’s Second Grade Cluster hosted a visit from Mrs. Lynette Swiger, proprietor of FernFaye Farm, a local farm on Bunner Ridge specializing in cut flowers, herbs, fruit, local beef, and honey. During her visit, Mrs. Swiger modeled for the young gardeners how to harvest seeds from fading blooms. After modeling the process, learners “rolled their sleeves up” and harvested some seeds from the withering flowers that Mrs. Swiger brought with her from her farm.
