
When you think of the work of MCS counselors it’s profound and always a team effort. The counselors had a work session today to provide support on the new WVEIS 2.0 platform and The Comprehensive School Counselor Plan.




Getting closer! Omni and Veritas provided a tour of work to-date at East Dale Elementary PreK and Kindergarten addition this morning. After delays of steel and other materials during the pandemic, the November 2022 completion date is honey sweet! Project funded by SBA and MCS.





As one of the counties taking part with the 12 pilot schools of the WV GameChangers initiative, MCS was excited to witness the ribbon-cutting of the DEA Educational Foundation traveling exhibit Drugs: Costs and Consequences at the WV Culture Center at WV State Museum today.





MCS hosted a focus group with stakeholders as part of WV GameChanger initiative today. It is Student-Powered Substance Misuse Prevention model connecting WV students and educators with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to build schools to prevent student opioid and other drug use.





Have you received your Senior Citizen Pass (65 and older) yet? All Marion County high schools and the Personnel Department in the County Office can take your photo and print the pass for free entry into MC athletic events. The pass is paid through the Marion County excess levy.


East Fairmont High School will release at 10 AM today, September 7, 2022, due to water pressure issues related to a line break.

Get your motors running…out and about at the McCutchan’s 2nd annual Car Show at East Fairmont High today. All proceeds go to the EFHS Foundation, which provides scholarships and mini grants to students and teachers at EFHS. Since 1991 the Foundation has given $1.2 million back.

The MCS STEAM program invites students in K-3rd grade to a Remake Learning Day. Students will explore nature through several interactive STEAM activities about the water cycle, trees, and more.
