Santa has elves everywhere, and we caught the cooks at Mannington Middle School being put on the Good List today during Family Flannel Day at the school. This week the hardworking MCS cooks will provide a very special Christmas dinner for over 7,000 students and staff. 🎅

Magical time of year at Mannington Middle School as the Gators are strumming up creative connections with art and their subjects with student door decorations. Positive messages and connection to chemistry, math, social emotional, and reading are as beautiful as art creations!

FSU Student Government Association supports our communities by dropping off food baskets for families at Fairview Elementary yesterday. Thank you for your support!

Continuing the giving from MCS! Patti Zapach organized a collection and will deliver boxes of donations from MCS county office for HOPE Inc. in Marion County. HOPE provides immediate, confidential help to any victim of sexual assault or domestic violence in Marion County.

Taking shape: Progress on the Mannington bus wash bay continues today. MCS is excited to plan a ribbon cutting soon!

The intent of this survey is to gather interest from MCS families for those who would take an opportunity to get a COVID-19 vaccine for students at one of our MCS. See https://forms.office.com/r/9NZG8PJrRU. If school COVID-19 vaccination clinics occur based upon enough interest, the vaccinations would be performed in collaboration with the Marion County Health Department and the school nurses. You can find out more about vaccinations from your primary care physician or at https://dhhr.wv.gov/COVID-19/Pages/Vaccine.aspx.

Mrs. Claus has a good report to take back to North Pole as children of the North Marion feeder area helped her and Superintendent Dr. Hage light the tree tonight in the campus of NM. The staff of schools from the feeder had activities, music and joy throughout the campus today.

Congratulations to the Fairmont Senior High School back-to-back State Champions and their boosters, families, and Superintendent Dr. Hage, who honor them and their hard work tonight.

A safe environment is one of the most important things a school system does. Superintendent Dr. Hage attended the Marion County Auxiliary Police Department’s annual Christmas banquet to thank Chief Ralph Masters and all of the members for all they do to support our schools.
