Congratulations to North Marion Senior Sidney Megna, who is the first Davis & Elkins Emerging Leaders Scholar and the recipient of a $160,000 full ride scholarship from D&E, Citizen’s Bank and WDTV. Megna was selected from over 100 applicants and is our MCS emerging leader.




Seasons Greetings from the hardworking cafeteria crew of East Dale as they made all the preparations for Christmas lunch at school top notch today.


The stockings were all hung and the cooks at Watson were baking up something with care for all the students.


Up in the roof top…and down in the cafeteria the Barrackville cooks were busy bringing delight in MCS today and every day!


Santa has hardworking elves at Monongah Elementary this morning and all school year as the cooks prepare a special Christmas lunch today.


The stockings were all hung by the chimney with care…and we knew the Monongah Middle cooks would always be there for our students breakfast and lunch and in between.


Rockin’ around the Christmas tree to provide a nutritious Christmas meal and bring students joy, the Rivesville cooks are ready today and every day!

Continuing the giving from MCS! Patti Zapach organized a collection and will deliver boxes of donations from MCS county office for HOPE Inc. in Marion County. HOPE provides immediate, confidential help to any victim of sexual assault or domestic violence in Marion County.

Santa has elves everywhere, and we caught the cooks at Mannington Middle School being put on the Good List today during Family Flannel Day at the school. This week the hardworking MCS cooks will provide a very special Christmas dinner for over 7,000 students and staff. 🎅

Mrs. Claus has a good report to take back to North Pole as children of the North Marion feeder area helped her and Superintendent Dr. Hage light the tree tonight in the campus of NM. The staff of schools from the feeder had activities, music and joy throughout the campus today.
