
Bringing strategies to life, MCS employees attended Back to Basics Training with Peggy Hovatter of the WV Autism Training Center tonight. It was est. in 1984 by WV Legislature and housed at Marshall to serve families of WV with autism spectrum disorders, educators, and others.





“In the absence of knowledge, people make their own truth” was the discussion by MCS high school administrators tonight in HACKING LEADERSHIP book study. 





MCS has again been chosen to participate in the WV CARDIAC Project in collaboration with WVU Extension Service. In January more info will come home with students in K, 2 and 5. Since 1998, the project has identified children with cardiovascular health risk factors to offer interventions to families. See the informational flyer at https://5il.co/13aav. Math is everywhere and a recent project at Mannington Middle prompted students to think of graphing in a new and festive way! 




While “visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads,” the hardworking cooks at Fairmont Senior High School prepared a special Christmas dinner today for Marion County’s largest school. 


“You know Dasher and Dancer…” but do you know the hardworking cooks at Pleasant Valley, who bring smiles to students’ faces everyday? 


Who puts the jingle bells in Jayenne’s students’ day? Well, it’s this fine team of cooks. 


If you could find a pair that is bringing Santa’s jolly to a group of students, the cooks at White Hall would surely be on Santa’s good list.


As busy as Santa’s elves? The cooks at West Fairmont Middle sure are as they prepared a special Christmas dinner today. Thank you indeed! 🎅


If you could capture a twinkle in a student’s eye, you’d find many at Fairview Elementary as the cooks bring much cheer every day. 


Congratulations to North Marion Senior  Sidney Megna, who is the first Davis & Elkins Emerging Leaders Scholar and the recipient of a $160,000 full ride scholarship from D&E, Citizen’s Bank and WDTV. Megna was selected from over 100 applicants and is our MCS emerging leader. 




Seasons Greetings from the hardworking cafeteria crew of East Dale as they made all the preparations for Christmas lunch at school top notch today. 


The stockings were all hung and the cooks at Watson were baking up something with care for all the students. 


Up in the roof top…and down in the cafeteria the Barrackville cooks were busy bringing delight in MCS today and every day! 


Santa has hardworking elves at Monongah Elementary this morning and all school year as the cooks prepare a special Christmas lunch today. 


The stockings were all hung by the chimney with care…and we knew the Monongah Middle cooks would always be there for our students breakfast and lunch and in between. 


Rockin’ around the Christmas tree to provide a nutritious Christmas meal and bring students joy, the Rivesville cooks are ready today and every day! 


East Fairmont Middle School cooks are in the spirit of Christmas and ready to bring joy to students’ faces. 


Fairmont City Council honors the Back-to-Back State Champion Fairmont Senior Polar Bear Football Team tonight. 


Magical time of year at Mannington Middle School as the Gators are strumming up creative connections with art and their subjects with student door decorations. Positive messages and connection to chemistry, math, social emotional, and reading are as beautiful as art creations!
