Keep coloring our worlds! It's been a P.O.W.E.R.-packed day in Marion County Schools as the county's art teachers worked with Annie McFarland, Ph.D., ATR-BC, Assistant Professor | Art Therapy + Therapeutic Arts, Art Therapy Program Coordinator to learn strategies for classrooms.

Making bridges for Marion County Schools students, instructors of Marion County Technical Center spent the day visiting the facilities and programs of Pierpont Community Technical College in the area to broaden awareness and soar into our partnership.

A student's first connection with Marion County Schools and it's a good one! Marion County Schools Pre-K teachers and ECCATs reviewed Policy 2525 and how to differentiate activities for young learners today.

Dr. Vince Mancuso works with Marion County Schools secondary teachers who are utilizing a block schedule format in delivery of instruction in Marion County Schools today.




MCS Families: Students entering 7th & 12th grades for 2023-24 are required to have the Tdap & meningitis vaccines to return on the first day of school or to participate in summer practices/activities. Students may not attend school without proper verification of vaccines. PreK, K, 2nd, 7th, and 12th grades are required to show proof of Health and Dental exams. Please send documents to your child’s school as soon as possible. ALSO, state law requires that any student who has Emergency Medications ordered must have the medication administration form AND the medication available at school or the student may not attend school. Ensure these are given to the school nurse.

Tools down for a day as Marion County Schools Custodians and Maintenance Department are participating in their mandatory Safety and Asbestos trainings for 2023-24.




Learning from our peers: Math Cohort implementation for grades 9-12 is adding up! Breck Lowdermilk (FSHS), Jenna Wolfe (EFMS) , and Nikki Kettler (Barrackville) share best practices and introduce the plans for the Math Cohort beginning this year for Marion County Math teachers.
