The Marion County Board of Education held its annual meeting with local legislators to provide input and voice concerns about issues facing public education currently as well as hear perspectives from legislators as they go into the next Legislative Session.
Marion County Schools has been informed by First Energy/Mon Power that work on a substation will be performed on Friday, December 1, 2023. There will be interruptions to power for the following schools in Marion County. Staff and students of East Fairmont High School, Pleasant Valley, County Office, Watson, Jayenne, East Park, East Fairmont Middle will not report to school on December 1, 2023 due to these planned power outages.
