Marion County Schools honors all those who serve on this Memorial Day, which was first nationally observed in 1868. The day was established by an organization of Union veterans to honor the Union soldiers who died in the American Civil War.

As we continue to celebrate the Class of 2025, Monongah Elementary School welcomed graduates to reconnect with teachers of Monongah Elementary as they celebrated them too with a school walk-through. This was a really special moment for students and staff.

Tune In! as we continue to celebrate the Class of 2025 in Marion County Schools. Fairmont Senior High School's Ms. Adrin Fisher, NBCT, asked students to set an intention for themselves. They had to write the word and then illustrate it somehow on 5x8 index cards. Then they had to explain the reasons they chose that intention in paragraph form. It's a great way to help the Class of 2025 reflect and prepare for their next step.
