
Festive fun at the Fairview Christmas parade tonight including the MCS STEAM Bus and the North Marion High School Band!





MCS is honored to support Wreaths Across America and the Maple Grove Cemetery Committee at the wreath ceremony on Saturday, December 17th at 1:00 PM. It is a nationwide mission to Remember, Honor and Teach with wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 3,400 additional locations in all states, at sea, and abroad.


The Madrigals opened the annual Christmas concert, conducted by Mr Greg DeVito. The Tenor and Bass Ensemble, The Women’s Choir, and all the high school singers together, along with alumni, sang for the Alleluia Chorus.





Beautiful music fills the air from talented students at the Watson Chorus Christmas Concert today directed by Ms. Corina King.





The elf soars and so do the Blackshere 4th grade students who are brainstorming in teams to develop a zipline for the Elf to ride...without crashing or falling out…today.




When the community calls to help kids, in our schools, the community answers. Officer Wheeler helps to bring in goodies for Santa's shop a Blackshere Elementary today.



Build a house and make it sweet for learning at the Blackshere After School Program, which is making gingerbread houses.





Big and Small the Chefs’ Apprentice Program at East Dale Elementary has got it all! Chefs, Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Stutler, work with some of the school’s novice “pastry chefs” to create gingerbread houses.





Bells, Santa, and magical music from talented Fairview Middle School students tonight in their annual Christmas program in small town America. The band and choir students performed.



Jayenne’s family night hosted 425 parents and students. Gingerbread Night participation was so great two locations had to be utilized.





Marion County FFA collected donations for Healthy Grandfamilies. It was made possible by students and others along with Tractor Supply.





Storyteller and Theatre Expert Francene Kirk visited Jayenne Elementary and treated students to some of her best stories today!




Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and the top of our stomachs goes out to the Marion County Schools cooks, who served Christmas Dinner to students and staff today in big ways! 🍽️💙




Marion County Schools counselors met today for much needed teaming, reflections, and share resources.





Santa’s Elves are Among Us: Kindergarten students signed and "mailed" Christmas cards to each other today at Blackshere.




Preparing students for tomorrow: The Board of Risk Management was on the campus of the Marion County Technical Center to certify our students on the Fork and Scissor lifts for the real world skills needed.





MCS and BOe sat down with local representatives in WV House and Senate to reflect upon needs and discuss challenges. We are thankful to Amy Summers, Joey Garcia, Mike Oliverio, Phil Mallow, Mike Caputo, and Mike DeVault who spent 2 hours with us today talking about education.





There’s a sun peeping out of the clouds and nature is calling at Blackshere today as 1st grade students in Ms. Petry's class made bird feed ornaments. They are hanging them in our trees on campus to feed the birds.




Did you catch some stars last night? The East Fairmont Middle School and East Fairmont High School choirs sure did shine!





White Hall’s kindergarteners got to be Santa’s elves this afternoon all while giving back to others. They built birdhouses, decorated ornaments, and worked on various other crafts. They plan on hand delivering everything to over 100 nursing home residents.
