The All-County Middle School Choral Concert tonight makes us all see and hear the amazing talent blooming in Marion County Schools.

Marion County Schools have a long tradition of supporting Special Olympics. Schools have various fund raisers and modes of displaying their “shoes” and support for Special Olympics aligned with the school’s culture and grade level. We have had coloring events at the younger levels, homeroom competitions, visual displays along hallways and school windows. Obviously, whatever way your school decides to acknowledge their support for Special Olympics gives energy to the overall countywide competition. In the spirit of March Madness, the fundraiser runs through March until Spring Break. Winners of the fundraising competition will be recognized at the Marion County Spring Games held at EAST WEST Stadium in May. Please contact the Marion County Special Services Department if you need more paper shoes. 304 367-2139

History was alive at Pleasant Valley. Third Grade researched a historical figure, created a written report, prepared a speech detailing their life and contributions to history, and dressed like that character in a "Wax Museum." Families and community were experienced it too.
