Let us start this day and every day in recognizing our hardworking and integral members of our team in Marion County Schools: Our Service Personnel. Governor Morrisey has proclaimed September 18th as WV School Service Personnel Day.
Whereas, school service personnel are involved in nearly every aspect of education by maintaining buildings and grounds, Preparing and serving meals, keeping school facilities clean and orderly, and assisting in the classroom, as well as providing administrative support functions, safe transportation, and many other specialized services; and
Whereas, school service personnel are instrumental in West Virginia’s responsibility to educate all students; and
Whereas, these dedicated individuals serve the children of West Virginia in our public education system and have an important role of non-instructional service to the educational system; and
Whereas, it is fitting we recognize the outstanding work these individuals do for this state, their communities, and the students enrolled in West Virginia schools.
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved that we proclaim September 18, 2025 as: West Virginia School Service Personnel Day

We celebrate Constitution Week in Marion County Schools, beginning this Wednesday, September 17 and continuing for 6 days after that date, in annual observance of when the U.S. Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787. Established by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and signed into public law by President Eisenhower in 1956, look for ways that Constitution Week is celebrated in our classrooms and schools.
