August 20, 2025 is the first day of school, grades 1-12, in Marion County. Our bus operators have completed annual trainings over the last few days. Help them to help us all keep our students safe by driving carefully, obeying signs and signals, and allowing yourself more time.

Marion County Chefs were off on an Adventure today during annual training for cooks where they met their new director, June Haught, and executive secretary, Janet Poling. Sessions included trainings by the state department members Morgan Teeters and Travis Legg on meal patterns, administrative review process, HCCAP plans and procedures. The day concluded with a team building activity where they “packed their bags” with qualities that make each kitchen a great team.
