
Turn It Up! as we congratulate Mrs. Spicher, who currently teaches WVU Dual Credit Biology, Honors Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology at North Marion High School. She was recently awarded a large grant from Howard and Leslie Clark and the Clark Opportunity Foundation to provide lab equipment and supplies for student taking her Biology 101 and Biology 102 classes. The Clark Opportunity Foundation also pays tuition for students enrolled in these courses. Mrs. Spicher and North Marion High School are grateful for the ongoing support provided by the Clark Opportunity Foundation.

Tune In! as Marion County Schools Healthy Grandfamilies for 2024-25 began tonight with a Kickoff and Family Bowling! There were 20 grandparents and 50 grandchildren in attendance. 🎳💛💙🖤

We have been informed of a water break and boil water advisory impacting Barrackville Elementary/Middle currently. Students will not report to Barrackville Elementary/Middle on Friday, September 27 as we await water test results from Barrackville.

Fairmont Chamber Music Society will be opening its concert season Sunday, September 29, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Church in downtown Fairmont. The vocal ensemble (made up of professional singers, music educators from this area of North Central West Virginia) is called "Maestri Vocale" and includes some Marion County music educators. The Chamber partners with Marion County Schools to present a concert at West Fairmont Middle School on November 4, featuring oboe and strings.
