Marion County Schools is thankful for a collaboration with WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) Concussion Network to promote further head injury education and provide additional resources to ensure athlete safety and well-being in Marion County.
The athletic training portion of the collaboration provides a Traumatic Head Injury educational series, athletic training to ensure an appropriate and well-communicated Emergency Action Plan, and funding to allow individuals to become CPR instructor certified. The RNI is working with Riddell to provide football helmets along with onsite technology for all three high school and all three middle school football teams in Marion County Schools. A special ceremony was hosted by North Marion High School tonight to kick off the initiative.
