West Virginia Public Broadcasting visited Jayenne Elementary's Kindergarten classrooms to teach about day, night, and nocturnal animals. Ms. Maggie and Ms. Autumn used PBS Kids show Dinosaur Train and the book Stellaluna to help teach the Science concepts.

Marion County's middle school principals' book study met tonight to discuss chapters 6 and 7 of STICK TOGETHER: A SIMPLE LESSON TO BUILD A STRONGER TEAM, led by West Fairmont Middle and Monongah Middle's administrations.

Home Depot Store employees wrote a grant to provide Pleasant Valley Elementary with 10 raised garden beds, gardening tools, and potting mix. The grant was accepted, and a collaborative effort of 28 employees helped build the garden beds.







Marion County teachers of math from throughout the district reviewed textbook adoption materials from vendors tonight as Marion County hosted its own opportunity to meet, ask questions, and review resources tonight at East Fairmont Middle School.

MC Board of Education recognized CTE teachers and students from all Marion County high schools tonight during National CTE Month. The Board heard from students and teachers of Marion County Technical Center, which hosts Skilks USA competitors from across the state in March.
