Taking a BITE out of much-needed improvements to Marion County Schools facilities in a 15-year long term plan with a 5-year bond to provide an equal distribution of funds across each of 3 feeder areas in an elementary and high school project in each feeder on the May 2024 ballot.


The Marion County Technical Center will be accepting applications for the 2024-2025 programs at MCTC. Applications may be picked up at any Marion County High School or MCTC. Due Date 2/15/2024.
Also, MCTC will also be hosting a FAFSA workshop on February 15, 2024, 5-7pm

Stephanie Brown was recognized tonight by the Marion County Board of Education for earning the elite National Board Certified Teacher credential. She is Marion County's latest teacher to earn the national standard.



Congratulations to Rachelle Bourne, of White Hall Elementary, Marion County Schools latest teacher to be recognized for renewal of her National Board Certified Teacher credential, the highest honor bestowed upon the profession.

Marion County Schools celebrates Pleasant Valley Elementary Principal Chris Binotto for his service to our students as a social studies teacher and school administrator, as well as his selfless service to his country.


Spending some time at Pleasant Valley Elementary to read STICKS aloud in the 2nd grade class of Ms. Delancey as the students talk about the big day tomorrow, Groundhog Day and the 100th day of school, 100 days celebrating learning and growing together.




First graders at Fairview Elementary learned about adjectives today by using their senses to describe popcorn. Students agreed there was no "BUTTER" way to learn about adjectives than through a tasty snack.





WEST VIRGINIA FAFSA DAY: West Virginia FAFSA Day is February 1, 2024. This day is marked as a collaborative effort to heighten awareness of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This year's focus is the unveiling of the #BetterFAFSA


Fairview Elementary enjoyed a great time learning and playing together. Marion County Literacy Volunteer Pam Shanholtz and Kelly Garcia shared information about reading. Mr. Coleman called bingo games in between so families could win some books.

Recognizing East Park Elementary's Students of the Month and guest speaker Eric Wright, the EFHS girl's soccer coach, who talked about fairness. The classroom with the best attendance was also recognized. Great work!
