October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Marion County Schools is doing its part in partnership with local HOPE Inc. Nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by a partner in the US. 1 in 15 children are exposed to this violence each year. 60% of victims do not report. It's a great day for the United Way in Fairview Elementary when you can tape Principal Coleman to the cafeteria wall. Students purchased strips of duct tape as donations and managed to make him stick for a good cause.
