The following Marion County Schools busses will not run morning or evening routes on Friday, October 6, 2023: 57 and 48 in East Fairmont feeder. Also, busses 39, 66, 52, 47 in the Fairmont Senior feeder area. Students who ride these busses will not be marked as an unexcused absence.

Each Wednesday the student-run Bee Cafe delivers snacks to the staff of East Fairmont High School. Marion County Schools Superintendent Dr. Heston was excited to see it in action first hand and receive some trail mix from a student today.


Marion County School's Remake Learning Day is set for this Saturday, October 7, 2023. It is open for all students K-5 in Marion County Schools.

3rd Annual Marion County Career, College, and Industry Fair for 5th-12th graders is November 2, 2023, 5-7 PM at Fairmont Senior Fieldhouse. Two FAFSA (Financial Aid 101) sessions for families conducted by the West Virginia Higher Education Commission.

Patrick Smith, Senior Music Education Major from the WVU School of Music, works with the Rivesville 6th Grade Woodwind section. Mr. Smith is gaining field experience hours by working with Mr. Tharp, and practice teaching young musicians.
