Tune In! The 2025 Miss Italian Heritage Festival Queen Francesca Aloi delivered a wonderful message during Healthy Grandfamilies Lunch and Learn today at the Marion County Family Resource and Support Center.
Tune in! as Marion County Schools in collaboration with the West Public Education Collaborative, is the first in the state to offer a Broadband Summit. All students in grades 9 and 10 participated in the Summit today to learn about careers in the broadband industry in West Virginia. The Summit included a panel of experts who discussed careers that require a career technical education credential or a college degree. Examples of the range of careers included everything from an electrician, computer technician, engineer, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.
Turn It Up! Ms. Margie Suder, who was caught preparing a STEAM lesson on the Oil and Gas Industry, found out that she has been selected as 2025 Marion County Schools Teacher of the Year. Ms. Suder, who just received a national science teacher recognition, will represent us well.
Turn it Up! and congratulate East Fairmont Middle School's Lori Wisebaler, who just found out she is the 2025 Marion County Schools Service Personnel of the Year. We are honored that Ms. Wisebaler will move on to represent our county at the State level now.

It has just been announced by WVDE that Marion Schools has received a Purple Star District Award as part of the 5th Class. This distinctive renewal lasts for a period of three school years and means ALL Marion County Schools have a commitment to military families.
