
New authors were introduced this week at the “Third Grade Author’s Tea” at Pleasant Valley. Students were recognized and celebrated for their hard work and accomplishment of writing a book. Each student had their story published in a classroom compilation book. The students topped off the afternoon by having tea with their special guests. Mrs. Burton and Mrs. Blankenship 3rd grade classrooms.











West Fairmont Middle School's faculty participated in a surprise “Dress Like a Middle Schooler” Day. Students were excited as they were greeted this morning!




Class of 2024 celebrations of accomplishments continue throughout the county at Fairmont Senior High School with the Senior Recognition Ceremony.

Marshall University announces helicopter aviation program and North Marion High School's own is recognized. During a ceremony, Bill Noe introduced the first student who will be trained as a helicopter pilot. Gabriel Mileto is expected to be a future aviator.

The West Virginia Department of Education is honored to announce the 2024 Golden Horseshoe winners for Marion County. Since 1931, students have been honored as knights of the Golden Horseshoe having demonstrated exceptional knowledge of West Virginia history on the state administered exam. This year, 227 winners will join the ranks of WV citizens who have won this prestigious award.

Ram Jam! Rivesville hosted Ram Jam tonight where the Ram choir and Rivesville band performed.








East Fairmont Middle School Counselors, Ms. Bittenbender and Ms. Parsons, greeted fourth graders at Pleasant Valley to help in the transition to middle school. For every question asked, they got to pull a Jenga piece in the Giant Jenga game. They are gearing up for the middle school tour May 20th!





An absolutely excellent performance by the FSHS Madrigals and both choirs last night! The students and Greg DeVito, director, were in full shine!
