They're at it again! 28 high school and 18 middle schools robotics teams from across WV are at North Marion High School today to prove they are on top of their robotics game! And, East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior and North Marion are among them! 🤖🦾🦿

South Ridge Church hosts another fabulous Night To Shine and some of our Marion County Schools employees got a chance to join in the fun.

WV Geological Survey's Coloring Contest Winner is from East Dale Elementary. Wyatt Shipman, Second Grade learner, is the winner of the WV Geological Survey's Coloring Contest, "Draw Jeff", which had artists draw a picture of the WV State Fossil, the Jefferson Ground Sloth. As the winner, Wyatt got to take a tour of the museum, won a prize basket, and earned each learner in Mrs. Ridenour’s Class a Jefferson Ground Sloth Sticker!

“Doggone” Fun in PreK… For Pet Week, the learners created a “My Pet” Defining Map, utilizing pet pictures that they brought from home. For the culminating activity, East Dale's Miss Moran had her friend, Tae, to bring in her therapy dog for a class visit.

It was a good day to celebrate positive behaviors at Blackshere Elementary today!

Congratulations to Marion County Schools National Board Certified Teachers, who will be recognized in March by West Virginia Department of Education for renewing the nation's highest credential available to the teaching profession. At Watson Elementary: Challenge Dream Learn Lead Write

Starting off the day right at Watson with smiles on the pancakes and smiles from the hardworking cooks!

East Park's Mrs. Niessner 1st grade class did a community service project for the residents of John Manchin’s Sr. Health Care Center. They made sun catchers for all 30 residents for Valentine’s Day. 🌞

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will take place from February 6 through March 1, 2023 in Marion County Schools. To Register for Kindergarten, please pick up a packet from your child's home school - contact school for times and more information. If you are unsure of your home school, contact the Marion County Board office for assistance. A child is eligible to be enrolled for kindergarten if they reach the age of 5 years old prior to July 1st of the upcoming school year. All packets are due by March 1st. Know that you are loved. The largest school in MC, Fairmont Senior High, reminds students. National Honor Society co-sponsors Adrin Fisher and Brooke Stark, create a Ruby Bridges display each year and hearts are added for every Valentine's Day. NHS members cut out hearts and write the name of every FSHS student on their own hearts. Members hang the hearts down the hallway of the second floor, so kids can see their names and know that they are valued and loved as a part of our community.

100th Day of Learning! Mrs. Williams’ Kindergarten Classroom at East Dale was filled with wise learners playing bingo utilizing their 100th Day Trail Mix as they celebrated what they have learned over the past 100 days.

MCS teachers who attended the Autism Academy make and take items for visual supports and self regulation skills in their classrooms at the Disability Action Center tonight.

The Uncommon Man Club at Blackshere took 3rd & 4th grade boys to tour the Marion County Courthouse. Judge Wilson served as the guide and spoke with them about the dangers of vaping, bullying and the value of using respect.

Older and wiser and keeping learning fun for 100 days+ at White Hall today for adults and students alike. Look at those proud smiles!
